Problem: Our client needed a 1-minute parody commercial selling time for his leadership project.
Solution: This project presents a humorous take on buying time, encapsulated within a parody infomercial format. The aim was to explore the universal desire for more time in our lives and the absurdity of attempting to purchase it. Through creative storytelling and a comedic approach, the video begins with a relatable scenario of a person feeling overwhelmed by the lack of time, only to discover the miraculous solution of buying time through a TV infomercial. Employing innovative visual effects, including fog and black light emissions, the video visually represents the excitement and fantastical possibilities of acquiring more time. However, the narrative takes a playful twist as the protagonist’s daydream of unlimited leisure is humorously interrupted by his wife’s practical to-do list, grounding the fantasy in everyday reality. The project leverages a blend of satire, special effects, and engaging storytelling to deliver a witty commentary on time management and societal expectations. Concluding with a mock promotional offer that doubles the amount of time for sale, the video leaves the audience with a laughter-filled reflection on the value of time and the importance of balancing dreams with duties.
